Mark Forster was one of the greatest in what he did! Not only in terms of technical innovation and power, but also doing it all in a spirit of much generosity!

May he rest in peace!

My condolences to his family and loved ones.

My deepest condolences to Mark and his family. He has made an incredible difference in my life. I'm still using his original autofocus system. "May the divine assistance descend upon us and remain always with us, and may the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace."

My heartfelt condolences to the family.

Mark was such an influential and original thinker, both widely recognized and, perhaps more importantly, quietly transformative in ways that are less visible but deeply felt by those who followed his work.

I don’t know how we will continue this quest without him, perhaps through a new circle or group to carry the spirit?

Hi everyone, it’s Mark’s daughter, Anna. Thank you all so much for your kind messages, they’ve been a great comfort to me and my family. In case you haven’t seen, we’ve posted an update about the funeral, and all who wish to honour his memory are welcome to join us as we celebrate his life and say our goodbyes. The service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, 12th November, at Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, West Grinstead, RH13 8LT, and afterwards at The Green Man, Partridge Green. Family flowers only, but if you’d like to make a donation in his memory, these can be made to St Catherine’s Hospice, who provided palliative care during his illness and at the end of his life; or to the Fusiliers Aid Society, the charity which he chose himself, who support serving and former Fusiliers (his regiment) and their families who are facing hardship or need.
