Discussion Forum > Left Field: Improved Forum Software?
Agreed. It seems with the flurry of interest AF has kicked up, it would be awfully nice to track these discussions via RSS.

I could open separate forums for DIT, AF and anything else for that matter. But since there's only been about two posts on any subject other than AF this year, I don't really see the point.
You can tell where the new posts are because the threads are arranged in order of latest post. So again I don't see that much would be gained by changing.
And the posts are already in threads, so again I'm not clear what would be gained.

Just my 2 cents: I really like the simple and clean look of this forum, especially as opposed to much of the chaotic "powerful" forums out there.

Hi Mark
I'm happy with the fact that the latest threads move to the top of the list... but would it be possible to show the TIME of the latest post as well as the date (in the forum listing but perhaps in the threads too)?
So... say I start reading posts on 16th in the morning, then come back to the forum in the evening. The time-stamp would then show me which thread to return to on the list.
Otherwise all is VG and I'm having fun with AF. Will post about it in a few days (it's on the list :)

Sarah,
I second that suggestion. It would be much easier to know where I was with a time stamp.

I'm checking with Squarespace, but I don't think that this is an available option.

An option for printer friendly printouts would be cool.

I'll check with Squarespace about this. It used to be an option, but for some reason it seems to have disappeared.

As you can see, the entries are now time-stamped!
Unfortunately the printer-friendly printouts are not available.

Mark,
Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU ;-) And I don't care what time zone the stamps are in. It works for me. Wonderful ;-)

Yes, I thank you, too, Mark.
And I don't have an issue with the time zone, because the time stamp serves as an index for the sequence in that the messages were posted.
It was just my curiosity, because here in Germany it's GMT+1.

Why don't the AF posts show in the RSS feed?

Is there any chance that new Forum software could be deployed with sections for DIT and AF split and the ability to see a threaded view with new post flags. There is a ton of free forum software out there which are far more capable than this system.
Anyway off my horse now :D
