Final Version FAQs > Basic System > How can I diagnose why I'm falling behind?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

There are only three reasons why people fall behind with their work:

1. They are not working efficiently.

2. They have too much work.

3. They haven’t left enough time to do the work.

If you are falling behind, then the reason will be one or more of these. Look at each in turn and be prepared to take action as a result.

Remember that if you fall behind on your work some of it will either not get done or get done badly. Making a conscious decision which parts of your work should not be done any longer is much preferable to letting it happen by chance.
