For this reason I'm keeping a list of "what's important" in the active page of my notebook. Indeed this is why I'm using an active page and explains the fault I ultimately found with AF4. The point of these keeping these goals here is to continually remind myself what's important and be thinking what I can do to advance these; I.e develop and work on new important tasks.

Very good and sensible practice!

<<I opened slack in my system and about once a week, I list all the stuff I want or should do and then I pick THE most important there and then throw the paper in the trash. The I go out and search for opportunities and attack them full-out.>>

You are making a lot of sense here. The slack is what is missing in my system, I want to fill every thing up to the top.

Yeah, this is unfortunately one of the disadvantages of a Personal Kanban. You can easily fill it to the rim. Perhaps a lower number of "blocs" per day would give just enough slack...

That's the easiest problem in the world! Have one or two "do nothing" blocks.

Yeah...!
Kanban in itself, when used in a group, is rather easy to enable slack using WIP.
I just forgot my WIP is the "done" lane ;)

On a side note, I just tried a full Eisenhower Graph Exercise and I was rather surprised and perplexed with the results!!! Not at all what I would have thought for some of the stuff that nagger me for a while.

<<All these problems...>

All of these promises are slowly eroding the concept of Messiah. For me anyway ;)
